Three years ago this morning (1/6/07) my sister was killed in a head on car crash by a drunk driver...today I started stitching Hearts Left Behind Sampler by Hester's Needle in her memory. Below is a picture of my sister, Kathy...

My 2010 Project Bin...

I went through my stash and narrowed down my choices for stitching this year and pulled samplers, stitching smalls, freebies and JCS Christmas ornament magazines, an old WIP and a class project to pick from during the year to stitch...my thought is to stitch one or two Christmas ornaments a month, and finish the WIP (A Quaker Christmas) and a class I took with Jeannette Douglas...Pineapple Biscournos and Scissors Fob along with stitching a couple of samplers, some smalls and freebies...

My first start of the year will be Hearts Left Behind Sampler by Hester's Needle.

I've re-entered the exchanging world, and have signed up for a Spring Exchange on the Stitching Exchanging blog...which I am really excited about getting back into exchanges...

Below is a picture of my 2010 Project bin;

Happy New Year Wish...

My Happy New Year wish for you
Is for your best year yet,
A year where life is peaceful,
And what you want, you get.

A year in which you cherish
The past year’s memories,
And live your life each new day,
Full of bright expectancies.

I wish for you a holiday
With happiness galore;
And when it’s done, I wish you
Happy New Year, and many more.

Our Christmas Tree 2009

Since we spend Christmas at my parents every year...we put up a few things here and there to decorate for Christmas and a simple (small) Christmas tree on our end table...below is a picture of our tree; the cross stitched angel ornament was stitched by my daughter a few years ago (it is a Cross Eyed Cricket freebie). I love how the snow flakes illuminate with the lights...(picture was taken by my cell phone so it's not the greatest...)

It's hard to believe Christmas day is 10 days away!!!
